# Troubleshooting

| Result                                                                    | Safe next step                                                                    |
| ------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `unauthorized` or `permission_denied`                                     | Revoke and reconnect with the intended permission. Do not share a token.          |
| `invalid_request` or `invalid_input`                                      | Compare the request with the reference; do not guess missing identifiers.         |
| `revision_conflict`                                                       | Read the current mandate revision, then ask the reader again.                     |
| `invalid_cursor`                                                          | Retrieve updates without the stale cursor and keep the new cursor opaque.         |
| `briefing_unavailable`                                                    | Request the latest stored edition or use the web newsroom.                        |
| `not_found`                                                               | Re-read the reader's own list. The response does not reveal another account.      |
| `monitor_stopped`                                                         | Start a new monitor from eligible returned evidence.                              |
| `limit_reached`                                                           | Wait for the product's reset or continue on the web.                              |
| `unsupported_coverage`                                                    | Continue on the web or contact Verelyn; do not promise activation.                |
| `evaluation_unavailable`, `onboarding_unavailable`, or processing trouble | Wait and retry; do not describe this as no change.                                |
| `internal_error`                                                          | Retry once. If it continues, contact Verelyn with the public correlation ID only. |
