# Correct your mandate

> Submit a dated, reader-approved mandate revision.

# Correct your mandate

Prerequisite: an active `mandate_write` connection and current correction access. Submission requires a fresh numeric `expected_revision`, but `get_mandate` and `GET /mandate` do not currently return that value. An assistant cannot safely invent or derive it. Use the web mandate editor unless the product has supplied the revision through a supported flow.

When a supported flow supplies the revision, submit the reader's words with a unique UUID `command_id` and provenance `reader_words` or `assistant_suggestion`. The reader must confirm an assistant suggestion. A successful request returns the new revision and outcome; it never exposes private revision history. On `revision_conflict`, return to the web editor for a fresh revision. On `unsupported_coverage` or `unavailable`, preserve the reader's request and use the web product or contact Verelyn.
