# Followed situations

A monitor follows a situation already returned in a sent edition or alert. It is owned by the reader, respects quiet hours and product limits, and can be active, paused, or stopped. Paused monitors can resume. Stopped monitors cannot reopen; follow eligible evidence again to create a new one.

This is bounded follow-up on newsroom evidence, not arbitrary open-web research.
