# Mandate

The mandate records the decisions, risks, questions, and interests your journalist follows. Coverage is shown per interest: `covered` means the newsroom reads suitable vetted sources for it today. Missing or unsupported coverage is not a negative preference and does not mean the interest is unimportant.

You may propose a correction in your own words. The product can apply it, ask a question, refuse it, report it unavailable, or wait for your confirmation.
